Event Barn

Located in the hills along the Missouri River, west of Parkville, Missouri, this project transforms a vintage summer camp mess hall into a warm, inviting destination for corporate gatherings and events. The custom barn restoration thoughtfully balances preservation and reinvention, retaining the character and materiality of the original structure while introducing new architectural elements that support its contemporary use. Through close collaboration, creative problem-solving, and intentional detailing, the design responds to the building’s history, setting, and evolving purpose. The result is a renewed architectural landmark that celebrates the property’s past while creating a distinctive, welcoming place to gather.
