CONTRACT FURNISHINGS DESIGN CENTER

Located in the historic Western Auto Building, a 1,325 sf space was transformed into a design center, showroom, and office for sales representatives.

The layout was reconfigured by adding a wall between the back columns, creating a rectangular main showroom and a back-of-house storage area. To maximize the limited floor space, the design utilized the tall ceilings and wall space to feature a striking chair display above the resource center that draws attention from the street.

Upon entering the space, distinct zones emerge: a meeting area and resource library are separated by a tall working pavilion that transitions into a lounge and entertainment area. Acoustical linear lighting visually connects these spaces, becoming denser in the entertainment zone. The design showcases unique features, including a vibrant green moss wall, contemporary lounge seating, and innovative acoustical wall treatments.
